Learn More About Automation Applications
Deburring removes sharp burrs, thin ridges, edges and rough areas that are commonly created during metal processing.
The work is often performed manually despite its high consistency requirement and low tolerance for error. Automation speeds the workflow and improves accuracy. Mirka robotic cells provide complete gear deburring solutions.
Robotic grinding improves surface quality, consistency and production efficiency. Manual grinding is physically demanding, hazardous and ergonomically difficult.
Spindle motors and tools are available for a wide range of robotic grinding processes.
Linishing refines a surface to a smooth finish and is often used before coating or painting. Robots typically perform it with belt grinders or large belt grinders.
Large blade finishing tools enable precise and uniform processing down to a surface roughness of 0.4 µm.
Turbine blade finishing covers fan blades, vanes and blisks. Optional automatic edge-break measurement can increase process adaptability.
Engine casing and structural finishing can process demanding surfaces even when the initial part position and contours are unknown, including compressor casings, combustion cases and fan discs.
Gear chamfering and deburring improves edge quality and productivity on gear wheels and shafts.
Across these applications, robotic platforms improve quality, consistency and efficiency.
