
Smart U-Shape configuration QST-CUT model nutrunner for space-saving on production lines.
The U-Shaped Nutrunner QST-CUT is the ultimate solution for automation and robotics applications suffering from extreme tool length constraints. Thanks to its unique “U” structure, the motor is folded parallel to the fastening axis, significantly shortening the overall length of the nutrunner and allowing it to fit into spaces where a straight nutrunner is simply too long.
The QST-CUT series offers all the advantages of the smart QST family, including +/- 2.5% torque accuracy and full tightening angle control. Every nutrunner comes standard with built-in torque transducers and angle sensors (CUT model). For applications requiring higher reliability, you can choose QST-CUTT models with a double transducer, or QST-CUATT models featuring full redundancy with double transducers and double angle sensors. The nutrunners are designed for full integration with Power Focus 6000 and PowerMACS 4000 controllers, supporting intensive operation with maintenance intervals of one million cycles.
Q: When is it better to use a U-SHAPED model over a straight model?
A: When tool length is a physical obstacle – for example, when the nutrunner needs to enter a narrow space or when there is a risk of the motor colliding with machine parts during robotic movement.
Q: Does the folded structure affect accuracy?
A: Not at all. The QST-CUT nutrunner maintains the same level of precision and control as the rest of the series, thanks to accurate mechanical power transmission and direct monitoring of the torque transducer.
