The Mactech WD worm-drive clamshell lathes have machine inside diameters from 31″ to 60″ and cover pipe outside diameters from 43″ to 60″. The series is engineered for extra-heavy-wall cuts and pipe over 40″ in diameter, including heat-exchanger resurfacing and other demanding applications. Minimal radial and axial clearance supports fast installation on in-line, closed-loop pipe.

Worm-drive power for extra-heavy-wall applications

The WD clamshell tools combine strength and precision for demanding, large-diameter cuts. Their worm-drive construction supports consistent machining of thick-wall pipe and heat-exchanger repair work. The stable design is intended to maintain reliable performance under heavy cutting loads.
