The FSW17K-BRONZE is a Spark Resistant Hydraulic flange spreading tool kit used to separate flange joints for maintenance, Installation, testing and decommissioning.
The kit contains a FSW17 BRONZE spreading wedge Tool, bronzed stepped blocks, Non Ferrous safety block and safety lanyard but a hydraulic pump and hose will be required to operate the tool, it is packaged in a robust carry case for easy transport and storage.
The FSW17 BRONZE:
Requires a minimum flange gap of 6 mm (0.24”)
Spreads the flanges with a parallel action ensuring a full 15 mm Jaw step contact is maintained for safe and stable spreading.
The FSW17 BRONZE produces a maximum spreading force of 163kN (36,644 lbf) when the maximum hydraulic pressure of 700 bar (10,000 PSI) is applied.
A powerful and portable Hydraulic tool, the FSW17 BRONZE weighs only 7 Kg (15.4 lbs) and is the correct hydraulic tool for medium and small sized flange joints that require spreading.

The FSW17-Bronze flange spreading wedge can enter a flange joint access gap as small as 6 mm and produce a maximum force of 326kN when used in pairs (as recommended) to push the mating faces of flanges apart. The FSW17-Bronze can create a gap up to 81 mm between flange faces with the stepped blocks fitted facilitating replacement of gaskets, seal ring’s, or other flange face maintenance and testing.
