About Paoli

Dino Paoli was founded in Reggio Emilia in 1968 as a family company specializing in automotive impact tools. Its history describes a move into Formula 1 in 1975 and later expansion into motorsport, heavy vehicles and industrial applications.

The portfolio includes pneumatic, electric and cordless impact tools, electro hydraulic systems, DYNO power units, nutrunners, controls and accessories. DPH tools are described as hydraulic impact wrenches with low voltage controls, high torque and reduced consumption. Applications include construction, mining, oil and gas, petrochemical, heavy industry, rail, vehicles and marine work.

From application requirements to the right solution

Paoli selection with Hadi Technologies

Paoli selection depends on joint type, torque range, cycle rate, access, mobility and power source. An impact tool is not automatically a controlled torque system, so the process requirement must be defined.

Pneumatic, electric or hydraulic tools, DYNO controllers and accessories can be compared around the work environment. Model, item and availability are checked against manufacturer specifications and the current Hadi catalogue.

Questions to help you choose

Is a Dino Paoli impact wrench suitable for controlled torque tightening?

An impact wrench mainly transfers impact energy for fast loosening or tightening, so it is not equivalent to a feedback controlled torque system. It can suit run down work or joints with an accepted torque range, but a precise torque requirement needs an appropriate control and verification method. Maximum tool torque should not be confused with repeatable, verified joint torque.

When should a pneumatic, electric or electro hydraulic Paoli tool be selected?

Pneumatic tools suit plants with available air and a need for light, fast repetitive work. Electric or cordless tools can suit applications where mobility and energy availability matter, while electro hydraulic systems address high torque with a dedicated power unit. Access, cycle frequency, fastener size and environment also affect the selection.

What information is needed to match a Paoli DYNO unit or controller to a tool?

Define the tool model, torque range, energy supply, cycle frequency, joint type and documentation requirement. Industrial applications also require review of joint response and how the result will be verified, rather than looking only at power unit output. These inputs allow the tool, controller and accessories to be checked as a system.

Does high torque alone mean that a tool is suitable for a joint?

No. Suitability also depends on speed, joint response, bolt access, accessory strength and the operator's ability to control the tool. Rated torque is only an initial selection parameter, and the tightening method must be validated under the actual joint requirements.
