A reticulated foam has an excellent balance in elasticity and softness which remains during usage, and is available as waffle shape structured.
The reticulated orange foam maintains a balanced combination of elasticity and softness throughout use and is formed in a waffle profile. Its optimized pattern improves cutting performance, extends pad life, and reduces surface temperature during polishing. The orange foam is softer than Mirka’s yellow foam and produces higher gloss with fewer holograms. It is suitable for softer clear coats and paints and for one-step finishing in automotive and Tier 1 supplier applications. For high-gloss wood finishes, the orange waffle pad is suited to the second polishing step to increase gloss and remove holograms. It is particularly suitable for dark colors and for softer paints or lacquers. The pad is designed for use with Mirka PRO Iridium 1,250 polishing compound and Polarshine 12, 10, and 8 compounds. The pad is 25 mm thick.
