Marine Propeller Finishing
Robotic platforms provide a broad range of options for improving marine propeller and hydro turbine manufacturing.

Automated propeller manufacturing
Consistent Quality and Efficiency
Automation solutions cover operations from cast mould machining through surface finishing and polishing. Configurations are available for controllable pitch propellers (CPP), fixed pitch propellers (FPP), impellers and other components.
Much of today's manual propeller finishing can be automated. This lowers manufacturing cost and lead time while improving quality and consistency.
Automating manual processes also increases production capacity and improves working conditions.

Advanced force-controlled robotics
Enhance Surface Finishing and Milling
Robotic systems use grinding and polishing tools for surface finishing and milling tools for edge contours and other intricate areas.
Force control keeps the tool accurately on the surface. The automation solution combines a high-payload force-controlled robot with a high-precision rotary servo table.
An electric spindle motor mounted on a closed-loop force compliance unit performs the finishing and is optimized for a range of grinding discs and stones.
